Top 40 Charts - All you fans of The Nuns will be happy to hear that Alejandra Escovedo has a new album out. It’s produced by Tony Visconti, and is also being released on vinyl as a limited edition. The vinyl album has bonus tracks.

Punk News - interesting review by a writer who found a copy of “Pleased to meet me” in a used vinyl bin (how could such a record be sitting there, alone?). That is a rare find any way you slice it. After reading about his experience spinning that vinyl, i put my copy on the turntable, and yes. vinyl is better than cd.. again and again

Vinyl Collective - admittedly, i know NOTHING about teenage bottlerocket but i thought it was great that they produced a gatefold vinyl lp. the thing looks totally hot. out of curiosity, i looked them up on rhapsody, and found them. listening to the new album now. sounds good so far. i might just have to order this record on vinyl to add to my collection of newer vinyl.

Puddlegum - One of my favorite bands i have discovered fairly recently is Mates of State. i have picked up a few of their albums, and am happy to see that the new album will be coming out as a vinyl with a digital download. i can’t wait!

Music Radar - U2 announced that they will be releasing their first three albums (remastered) on 180 gram vinyl.

I found this very interesting in that some of the first vinyl i sought when i started collecting again were the U2 albums. I soon found that although the songs were great, they recordings were not all that great (especially the unforgettable fire). Maybe this will remedy that. It will be interesting, anyway.

Vinyl Lounge Hut has a rip of persuasive percussion 1966 this morning. Now that I am starting to find all these sites that have great obscure vinyl rips, i am starting to wonder if I should make a compendium of these sites. What do you think?
