Anti Music - reports that the new album from the pretenders will be printed not only with seed paper packaging (you can plant the paper packaging and grow flowers), but will also be released on vinyl.

Daily Herald - Another success story about record stores carrying and selling more vinyl these days. makes me hopeful that kids are willing to 1. spend money, and 2. understand the difference. also, the end of the article has a list of indie record shops in the suburban chicago area. very cool!

I Am Fuel - This blogger is giving away a copy of Brian Wilson’s new album “That Lucky Old Sun” on vinyl. 180 gram vinyl, no less. Open Learn - Here’s an interesting article on how the grooves in records (and cylinders) are cut, and a little info on the different methods of cutting records. complete with sound files to check out. i might need to follow this site in the future for its educational articles.
