I Am Fuel - This blogger is giving away a copy of Brian Wilson’s new album “That Lucky Old Sun” on vinyl. 180 gram vinyl, no less. The Daily Mail - interesting article this morning about one of the things i have been bemoaning about cd’s . the commitment you have to make to listen to a whole cd far outweighs the probable musical value of the cd.

Fort Worht Business Press -Retired Husband and wife decide to take wife’s record collection (15,000) out into the wild. They wind up opening a record store that sells rufurbed analog equipment. the store sounds incredible. More info, including links at the full story.

The Marion Star - This is a very cool article about an album collector who had his wares on display in marion (about 30 miles north.) if i had a little more notice, i would have gone up and checked it out.
of note, he mentions the beatles’ “Butcher Cover.”

Huffington Post - Very cool article about how Fred Meyer inadvertently ordered a ton of the new REM albums. instead of hitting CD, he hit LP, and the stores got a ton of vinyl. The cool thing is, of the stores that stocked them on the shelves, the product SOLD! awesome!
