Fort Worht Business Press -Retired Husband and wife decide to take wife’s record collection (15,000) out into the wild. They wind up opening a record store that sells rufurbed analog equipment. the store sounds incredible. More info, including links at the full story.

The Marion Star - This is a very cool article about an album collector who had his wares on display in marion (about 30 miles north.) if i had a little more notice, i would have gone up and checked it out.

This is an interesting story. many moons ago, in the town where i was born and raised, there was a flood. i used to hear stories about that flood as i was growing up. the guy who taught me how to take a photograph runs the historical society on the dam disaster. he has posted on his blog today a vinyl rip of a song written about the dam disaster. go see the story for more details!

Huffington Post - Very cool article about how Fred Meyer inadvertently ordered a ton of the new REM albums. instead of hitting CD, he hit LP, and the stores got a ton of vinyl. The cool thing is, of the stores that stocked them on the shelves, the product SOLD! awesome!
